2.Select the appropriate form: Select the form titled “Request for New PAN Card or/and Change or Correction in PAN Data” (Form 49A for Indian citizens, Form 49AA for foreign nationals).

3.Fill the Form: Fill the form with accurate details. Provide the PAN you want to update and fill the required details which require correction or change.

4.Document Upload: Depending on the information you want to update, you may need to upload supporting documents. For example, if you are updating your name, you may need to provide a copy of your name change certificate.

5.Payment: Pay the required fees online. The charges depend on whether the address is within India or outside India.

6.Submit Form: After filling the form and making payment, submit the form online. You will receive an acknowledgment receipt with a 15 digit acknowledgment number.

7.Print and send the documents: Print the acknowledgment receipt, affix two recent passport size photographs, and sign them. Send the printed form along with required documents to the NSDL address mentioned in the acknowledgement.

Tracking: You can track the status of your update request using the acknowledgment number on the NSDL portal.
